The National Curriculum

At St Gregory’s we use an irresistible learning approach to the curriculum which makes learning memorable, exciting, fun and intriguing. Within the curriculum we use specialist musicians and dancers to bring the learning to life for all children on top of the expertise demonstrated by our teachers. We use a topic based curriculum to fire children’s imagination and we ensure it is a curriculum that is guided by the children so that it is relevant and matters and develops their skills, knowledge and understanding. Our curriculum develops well the children's Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural understanding as well as the British values of democracy, the rule of law, liberty, resepct and tolerance. This irresistible curriculum is enhanced by visits to places of interest, authors, poets and artists who teach the children as well as an outstanding enrichment programme of after school activities. including football, netball, Irish dancing, gymnastics, choir, chess, cheerleading, street dance and a new health-related fitness club.
